SugarNspice
I disputed lates on a current target account that I have open. Each time the results came back verified. I had to call Target and they removed all the lates except one 30 day from 2005. I thought they would remove them all. I've been pulling my TC report daily and noticed that TU just listed this TL as "derogatory" under the "condition" section. This was after Target sent them a letter to update the information. Before they had it listed as "open". I called TU and they told me that the past lates cause it to be listed as "derogatory". I argued on the phone with them saying that it was never listed as such and that it was always listed as "open". The rep told me that it has to be listed as derogatory. I then asked to speak to a supervisor and he wouldn't transfer me. He kept asking why I wanted to talk to a supervisor and I told him because my account is listed as "derogatory". He told me that was petty. Boy did I lose my temper, needless to say I hung up and called back 5 minutes later and the rep put me on hold because the previous rep was still looking at my file. I was on hold for 10 min. and she told me the same thing. Now my question is, Is this how a TL suppose to be listed when you have a few lates? All of my other accounts show the TL as "open" under the "condition" line, and I have lates on those accounts too. This is an open card that I never defaulted on. I had 4 30 day lates on that account which they deleted all but one.

gypsie
Wow! what an a$$ that rep was.... Sometimes, I think they make notes in our reports when we dispute, just to make things harder- like it's personal or something.... It would be interesting to know if anyone has ever worked for one of the 3 CRAs...IMO- TU is not going to budge. Maybe you should call Target back and see if you can get them to remove all of the lates and update your TL accordingly.
SugarNspice
I called and was transfered to a supervisor and I left a voicemail. I just always thought that under the condition section of the CR it should state "open". That's what was always listed and now it's listed as "derogatory". Oh well, maybe I'll have better luck with a target supervisor.Credit repair is so much fun!!! lol
SugarNspice
Just a little update, I pulled my TC report, and they updated the tradeline and reported it as "open" and they removed the one 30 day late from 2005. My score went from 602 to 616. I always thought the older the late, the less effect it has on your score but I guess not.
