HOOT
I just applied for an AMEX Blue and got approved for 2k limit. I could not believe it! I had to call them because of fraud alert on my EQ report. They called me back since I was at work to verify. I am so excited! This is the first card I have applied for since rebuilding credit. I have no other cerdit cards on any report. On my EQ report I have two paid judgement, no collections and only one open account, a current loan at 40k and some old paid good accounts. My TC score is 629.Thanks to you all for all the help and advice through the credit repair process! Looks like better days are ahead!

HOOT
Thank you! They pulled my eq report, which is my best, but still a fairly low score. I was totally shocked!
KiddoNeedsCredit
They pulled equifax???? Hmm, no longer exp?If so, I am going to apply RIGHT NOW. lolWhen they called back to verify how did they go about verfying everything? I have a fraud alert also and don't want to go through a huge hassle so I planned on waiting a couple more weeks til its off. What was the verification process? HOOT
A message popped up after the application went through to please call for verification to finalize the app. I called the 800 number and she asked for my work phone to verify my employment(after I told them at was at work). They just called the main number and asked for me. She then told me I was approved. Of course they did the whole verify address and ss# to start off with. It was almost too easy. I am still shocked! Good Luck to you KIDDO!
onthedot
COOL! How long have you worked at getting your credit report to this point? Congratulations!
HOOT
Thanks OntheDot!I have been working on my credit for about year and a half now. It has gotten much better when I got rid of some of the old baddies that should have long been off. My major problem was not having any new accounts. Everything was closed until I got the 40k loan. That is why I was really surprised with this approval. I was just bored and thought what the heck!
Fico
Would Anyone be wiling to share some organization skills or maybe a system to help me not get overwelmed?
HOOT
Well my first step was pulling a 3-1 credit report. I was overwhelmed just by looking at that. I had a chapter 13bk that was long past reporting time, a co that was the same. I also had a tax lien that should not have been there. First, I made a folder and seperated each report and kept copies of everything sent out. As they deleted I would check off on my credit reports and then update the new credit reports that were sent from the disputes. To date I have deleted a Bk, 4 CA, 2 CO and a tax lien. Weird I have not really seen a great increase in score, but I think that was due to the fact I had no new account, until the AMEX and the loan. I have to say I got a little burnt out a few months ago and kinda let it go, but now I am back on track and ready to finish it. It will be overwhelming, but rewarding in the end!
