Guest Jary
I have read alot on different forums that a good way to establish some new credit and boost you credit score is to open a Crown Jewelers account. Is this a good idea? Has anyone gotten an account with them? Please let me know I was thinink about it.ThanksJahaira

IHateCAs
I don't see any negatives with Crown Jewelers other than very crappy overpriced jewelry.
jamesjmcgee
My score is a 653, and I did not get an online approval... My message said I would get a response in the mail in 7-10 days. Whats up with that? Did any of you get that?
IHateCAs
I don't think they do instant online approvals, but everyone is approved in a day or two.
Guest Jary
I don't know about getting an account with them. I am reading a lot of negatives on this forum about them also. I guess I will just wait and see if maybe in a couple of months I will try for a walmart or target or some other store card.
jamesjmcgee
Ok... I got my approval today, I also applied for JCpenny, Chase, and a Lowes Project card, Still no word on those. I guess I'll get that in the mail. Although I have a 653, I only have my mortage as good, and a 2002 joint charge off to Finance America on my report. I guess I may have to use the crown to up my credit usage before anyone want to give me a real card. I'm about to send my dispute letter on the CO, If I can get it removed Then get me a revolving account to up the score to 700 or better Then in 6 mo to a yr. refi this 17 percent mortage I got in bk13 and Hopefully save some big dollars.I love this forum! Now all this Internet connection money I pay...Might Pay me Back!
