thegame26
the best credit report company is yourself. You can do everything a credit repair company can/will do at a fraction of the cost.
BC5000
Actually, tax liens are a bit of a different beast, so while a NACA lawyer might be able to point you in the right direction, you're really best off working with an enrolled agent who's local to you, someone who knows the tax code AND can almost certainly deal with the taxing authority (state or IRS) better than you can alone. Even if this is an issue of trying to get a lien changed on your credit report, I think sitting down with an EA would be time well spent.http://www.naea.org/Good luck! I have used the tax avocate service that is provided free by the IRS. Here's the parent link, clink on the first link to find a contact number of an avocate near you.http://www.irs.gov/advocate/index.htmlAs for repairing your credit; It is easy it is to do. I laugh when I hear people say "I paid someone to fix my credit and they didn't do anything"......Noboby is going to do a better job for you than you yourself. This site has everthing you need...................... :)

I will be contacting EA's and Tax Attorneys regarding this and how I should proceed. I don't have many options as I see it. Pay the full amount or do an offer in compromise is about what I have found out. I want to get a mortgage in the next year/year and a half so I need to deal with this. It won't get off my CR as I understand it and it seems the best I can do is to show it as paid.

I have been talking to and working with the CA tax advocate. Because of my medical/financial situation they aren't pursuing collection actions but they won't lift the lien even though they know I don't owe $52K and that I owe $5900.
