stormywsmn
This whole DV process has been confusing and unsuccessful to this point except for one delete. But I think I have something now.I DV'd midland on 04/26I disputed with the CR's 04/26They signed the green card 04/29They added a new "revolving account" to my report today 05/10Violation?? merkurfan
The fact that it is a revolving account is a violation in its own right. If your DV was timily (with-in 30 days of first dunning letter) that is a violation to. If your DV was UN-timily all they have to do is mark their TL disputed by customer. If it's not marked disputed by customer, that is a violation to.

divemedic
Actually, marking the TL as in dispute doesn't cover them here.Remember that they are not allowed to make any false or misleading statements in the collection process. Since they are claiming that a collection is a revolving account, this statement on your CR is a violation in itself.
Drew
Arrow is reporting on EQ as an installment account, which I might add, the balance is $60 less than the others. The others are noted as collection accounts.. is this a violation? Are the balances being different also a notable violation?
merkurfan
If all 3 TL's are not identical, it is technically a violation. But you have to prove they knew about it. You do this by disputing them and making them verifiy they are "correct" in their incorrectness Do this twice so there is no doubt they are not doing their job.First dispute "not mine" second "Collection account, not intstallment" or "amounts/dates wrong"Then.. Once they do all that, and the TL is still wrong (don't worry.. it will.. I disputed/dv'd 3 times and well.. their TL stayed the same)then sue them butts. Drew
I think I might have gotten a frivolous statement about the Arrow account.Could I still dispute it as long as it's a different reason?
merkurfan
Beats me. they will likely just keep sending those letters. Time for a new tactic. Get MOV from the CRA. Find out who/what is verifing the TL.
Drew
Beats me. they will likely just keep sending those letters. Time for a new tactic. Get MOV from the CRA. Find out who/what is verifing the TL.I guess you're right.Should I wait to see what Arrow has to say in response to the letter I sent a couple days ago? Or should I just proceed with the MOV before then?
divemedic
The TL's must all match each other. If they do not, then how can the TL's all be complete and accurate? If they send you the frivolous letter, fine. Sue them.
stormywsmn
This whole DV process has been confusing and unsuccessful to this point except for one delete. But I think I have something now.I DV'd midland on 04/26I disputed with the CR's 04/26They signed the green card 04/29They added a new "revolving account" to my report today 05/10Violation??So I have them twice for reporting before validating with a timely DV, right? Then one more time for reporting a collection account as a revolving account? If they verify, I have them two more times? And if they report on experian I've got them again? For a possible grand total of $6000???That would be so sweet because these guys made the scores drop considerably. DH's EQ was at 598 before midland reported then it went down to 551.
merkurfan
sadly it's likely only 1000.00.... It's per action (lawsuit)...
glj249
What is a revolving account and how does it affect your credit? Also, how do I dispute an address that's listed on my account. Should I even bother?
merkurfan
IT's a open account your not paying on that will likely be reported as past due and bring your scores down, and will continue to do so monthly until they forget about it and stop updating or you do something about it.
