Challenged lates on auto loan, now TL really messed up

Recommended Posts

I challenged a TL for an auto loan (there were two months late - 30 and 120 days late). They now show with no lates, but all the other info, like balance is now zero or missing info. Should I dispute again and say the high balance is wrong?

The fcra states that all information on your cr must be accurate. Dispute what you feel is innacurate and hurting you.

did it hurt or improve your score? If the balance is zero, it might be better than having a balance.. not sure.

I can't tell if it hurt or helped, but I do know that a finance department at a car dealer said what a great record I have for paying off such loans.

If it's not paid off, i would leave it alone. What will probably happen is that on the next batch of updates from the finance company, the balance will reappear, just make sure you are not late anymore.
