Being added as an AU on this Macy's account. Worth it??

I was thinking of having my mom add me as an Authorized user on this Macy's account. Do you think it's worth it.

Opened in May of 1993

zero late payments

$2000 CL

She pay's in full every month

I'm allready an authorized user on her Bank Of Amer. Visa.

Does it look bad to have to many AU accounts? I also have two CC's of my own : AMEX BLE with a $2000 CL : zero lates and A Citi Card with a $6600 zero lates. Both of which have a utilaztion under 35%.

The macy's card has over 15 years of perfect payment history but it will be my second AU account. I did a search and found conflicting answers to weather or not Macy's reports AU's. Anyone know for sure?

Yes and it sounds like your Ma is good with money. The last thing you want to do is ask to be an AU on someone's acct when they are not good with money...as I did w/ my dh before we started down the road of SPENDING CONTROL, lol... lesson learned.

Most creditors won't even know if its an au account or your own account unless it is manually reviewed by an underwriter. Most things are done by computer and the computer doesn't know the difference.
