Inquiry Removal question-sent CMRRR

Recommended Posts

I have read Methuss Sticky and have read so many post I think I am maybe confusing myself.

I wrote to each of the Hard Pulls CMRRR on my credit reports requesting removal or documentation that I authorized this inquiry. I have 16 on my report. It has been about 45 days since I sent each letter CMRRR and only two have responded that they will remove the inquiry, which they did.

I have not gotten responses from the other inquiry's.

Question is

1. If they didn't respond and I send a letter to the big 3 do they have to remove them? They sticky says this would be illegal but they did not respond and I honestly did not give them authorization for these pulls.

As far as I know, if a credit report was pulled(authorized or not) the CB can show the inquiry. You probably won't get far with the Big 3 but it doesn't hurt to try. Which CB's are these inquiries on? TU can be *b*, EQ can be *b* and removed, and as far as EX, they will be hard to remove.

EQ was wonderful they removed all but three which are correct. TU responded with

"RE Explination of Different items on your credit report

The inquiries listed on your credit report are a record of the companies that obtained your credit information. All inquiries remain on your credit report for two years. bla bla

If you believe that an inquiry on your credit report was made without permissible purposes, then you may wish to contact the creditor directly, in writing, regarding its purpose.

Which I did with no response

It's like being in a mouse maze with no way out

EX has not responded yet

How did you dispute the inquiry, not authorized?

That is correct and they were not authorized I don't know who these people are. I actually had time to call one of them yesterday she said she never received the certified letter even though I have the receipt and asked me to send it again. She also confirmed that I was not in their system.

Even though you have your receipt for the certified mail, did you ever get the green card back? It should have the name of the person who signed for it or the company stamp. :? Also, many times you will get unsolicated inquiries from companies looking to solicit you. Unless you had yourself removed from this by the credit bureaus, you will continue to get them. The only inquiries that show on my credit report are those I authorize or companies I currently deal with...like my car insurance company when they are doing a review. Even then, my insurance company is a "soft inquiry". :)++

Yep Ihave the name Marie Gonzolas. They said no one works at that company by that name. I wonder if the PO delivered to the wrong address?

I will also have myself removed from these from each of the nasty 3. Thanks for this suggestion I did not know I could do this.
