hoisan
Hi,i just start my credit repair journey. I already sent some letter to the creditors to remove inquiries that were almost 2 years ago. I am not clear about what steps i need to do to remove late payment from just CC. i also has one chargeoff account. any information will be appreciated. I dispute online numerous time, but most of them are just updated. Thanks,Eva

1flyfisher
Hi,i actually finish reading them already, but as a dummies i am. i need more guideline. should i dispute on line? You can dispute online but it is best disputing through letters sent certified and registered mail. i ordered all 3 reports already. That is good what's the different of sending letters to credit burea? I don't know what this sentence means please write a more coherent sentence.. what reason do i use to dispute those if i am writing letters?Use any reason at your disposal. IF there are negatives on your CR dispute that are not correct and you never had an account then dispute as not yours. There are many angles to disputingmy scores is around 600. i only have lots of inquires and some late payments, but maybe high in balance. i am planning to pay off my credit card but keep it open. is that a good way to raise my score? That is good to do.Good luck and read as much as you can on here.EvaRead and read more....

If they are not, they don't have to remove them. Also, you will need to contact the original creditor regarding removing late payments. Sometimes if you write the CEO of the company with a goodwill letter, they might remove it. They are not obligated to do it. I'm not sure what you want to do with the chargeoff. You would need to determine if it is out of SOL as whether it's paid or unpaid, it will remain on your credit report for 7 yrs.
elijah_77
I have fould the disputing using the mail is more effective. I only dispute personal informaition over the phone or on line. Remember each CRA is different. I have seen people have great success disputing on line with TransUnion but no success on line with Experian.
