brattylatina
I went ahead and tried the "Dispute with OC" on the main page. I don't know if it has worked with anyone. I am disputing the dates closed.I want to try it with HSBC because they are showing the date closed and date for removal from when I filed my BK. They aren't sol yet so not sure that I want to open up a can of worms.Any feedback would be great!
chilton1
Was the account sold? If the account was sold, you are safe. They cant try to collect on an account they no longer own. The dispute with OC letter worked for me with HSBC.Providian is the last beast I am fighting. I sent then a simple version of that letter I am now waiting for their response. brattylatina
how old are the accounts?Crap 1= opened in 7/98 and shows closed 6/01 with a DOLA 1/01.HSBC= opened 4/03, closed 11/04, DOLA 11/04 (These dates are wrong as they are using my date that I filed BK. It was charged off prior to 11/04. TU shows removal in 2010.Providian = opened 7/98, closed 7/01, DOLA 1/01.

I have requested a copy of my statements, http://www.debt-consolidation-credit-repair-service.com/forums/showthread.php?t=268407. Once I have proof on paper when the DOFD is, I will use it to get my TL bumped a bit earlier. I should be able to get it off this year. With Providian, have you tried to just dispute it? They were on my CR for an "alleged" account I held with them and were deleted without much effort.
Arwencita
I did not have any luck with Cap 1, sent letters with no response although they still verified with CRAs but I sent a letter requesting Method of Verification to CRA, lets see what happens. MOV is usually useless now a days. Welcome to the "what to do about Crap 1" group.
