This is my first post I am finding this site very helpful in my quest to repair my credit! My question is I have a collection account and don’t know my account numbers to validate my account! Didn’t know if I would open a can of worms if I started call the collection company or Cardholder for the account numbers!

How to go about this with-out open the can of worms?

Your credit report should show who the collection account is from. Usually you will see the original creditor listed and the date of delinquency. :? We need more information from you such as how old is the debt? If you contact the collection agency, which I personally never do, this could "awaken the sleeping dogs" and they come after you! :spank:

the good news....

"30 days as of Jul 2001" is your DOFD. +7 = Jul 2008. +6 = Jul 2007.

I would let this "sleep" until fall and THEN attempt DV's and deletion. You don't want to wake the sleeping giant so close to SOL expiration.
