VonAngel (aka EarthAngel)
Does anyone know where I can get a sample letter to request cra's toremove "authorized user" accounts off of my credit report? They're not going to do it. You would need to contact the creditors to get them to remove them. Just tell them that you no longer want to be an AU and want the accounts removed. Some creditors do require that the primary account holder makes the request.

All that is going to do is give the CRAs an extra 15 days to investigate (unless you used your free annual report which grants them up to 45 days anyway). hiblues
I'm guessing that this is an ex, trying to screw your credit rating...why else would s/he not remove it?It's time to become the squeaky wheel....IIWYIW call the OC, request to talk to a manager right off the bat because a low level CSR will not be authorized to do what you want.Basically, this is kinda fraud... at least that's the way you see it ( and you tell them this) Fraud is one of those trigger words that get action If that manger can't do what you want, ask to talk to his/her manager...keep moving up the management chain until you have exhausted all remedies...Keep a log of all the managers you have talked to, and the time, keep notes of what was said.If you still don't get what you want, find out the fax number to their legal department and fax an ITS letter... stating your demands, what actions you have taken to resolve the situation, tell them you have exhausted all remedies and give them 7 days to resolve this or you will be forced to take further actions available to you.Come On, seriously now, are they going to defend their right to keep you on as an AU in court?Hell No!JM2C's
brokemommy
I was listed on two of my husband's Crapital One credit cards as AU that were charged off. I just disputed them online as "not my account" and they were both off within 30 days off all three reports. They didn't even fight it, because I had never signed anything.
