LadySunshine
I have two negatives on my credit repair and I have no idea how to get them to remove them. I have spoken with one of them over the phone and was told it would be removed and it is still not, over a year later...Is there some sort of form or letter I can write to either of these two trying to get the negatives removed? one of them is from a hospital which in the end i was informed that i was not responsible for the amount due, but still its on my account and says "civil claim judgement". the other is a credit card which shouldnt be on there and should definitely NOT be passed due. I'm sure this stuff has been asked a million times but I hope you guys can help me.
thomassl
On the credit card, I would contact them to see what this is about and why it's on my credit report. In regards to the hospital, I would contact their accounts receivable department and ask for a letter stating I am not responsible for this debt and to have it removed from my credit report. The accounts receivable department should contact the credit bureaus to have it removed but I would also request a letter stating so. I would then send a copy of this letter "certified" to the CRA's disputing this debt.
LadySunshine
I have a letter from the lawyers stating that the hospital debt case was closed and that I am not responsible. Should i just send a copy of that or am i missing something else?
thomassl
The original creditor has to say that you are not responsible. Most of the CRA's will accept these types of letter in addition to verification from the original creditor. Even if you sent them the letter from your lawyer, they would still have to have verification from the original creditor who placed the information on your credit report. When you noticed the negative information on your credit report, did you dispute it with the credit bureaus? If not, you need to do this so they can verify or delete the information. If they verify it, they must provide you with the who, why, when and how the information was verified.
LadySunshine
I just got the reports today. I get them every time I know I can get another set. So the last time i got a set (18 months ago) I found two negatives and this forum helped me to repair them... so here i am back to repair more! Eventually I'll get it all taken care of. Also trying to figure out how I can get my actual credit score. Every place says you have to purchase it... which is stupid. I figure its mine, why cant i just know it? I figure its mine, why cant i just know it?'Cuz that would be too easy.Go to www.myfico.com - they give you the real FICO scores, not the FAKO knockoffs. They also update the scores if you stay a member (30 day free trial)..it's a good deal IMO.
