chgojj
Today, JUne 11, 2007, my wife and I each received a check from Wells Fargo Bank in the amount of $40.78. Neither of us know what it is for. The stub simply has a refernece number and each of our names on it. Does anyone know if maybe we were part of some class action against Wells Fargo. Just curious.BTW. Neither of us had had any acounts with Wells Fargo
justincase
Call Wells Fargo they should be able to tell you what that ref # is about, I wouldn't deposit until I found out what they were for. Just my opinion.
walterg55
Did you ever apply for a mortgage with Wells Fargo?
CarolinaBlueEyes
Be VERY careful about this.. if you have an account they purchased or you have a judgement you may not be aware of.. etc.. sometimes an OC or a creditor will use this "check" thing to obtain your banking info when you deposit it.. call wells but I would be very careful about using this in any way
justincase
That's good advice CarolinaBlueEyes!!!!!!! Thats why I told him to call and inquire as to what that ref# was before depositing. I never thought about that.
