RayvonTCO
Just got off the phone with a "supervisor" trying to get rid of that annoying 30 day late from 1/03.Anyway I happened to remember to ask him about reporting credit limits. He went on to tell me that later this year or early next year is when it's going to happen. Lets find a way to speed this up.....
someonesomewhere
They keep repeating that line of B.S., but I ain't buying it. Or maybe they suspect a decision in one of the lawsuits against them later this year.
CleverCynic
I applied for the Capital One the other day. They pulled ALL of my freakin' reports! I guess I should have known that from all the reading around here.. I"m sure someone's mentioned it. All I know is I better have been a "go" based on the first 2 if they continued to pull a 3rd... Fizzle1979
I am just thinking outloud here. Couldn't we all put a consumer statement on our capital one account that said out credit limit was one million dollars?
CleverCynic
Good work if you can get it...Anyway, that wouldn't solve the only real problem which is the FICO and other scoring algorithms. Looking at the report they just want to see OK's.
lhslancers
I have a Cap One. They don't start to report credit limits by January the most action that card will ever see again is a cup of coffee.
CleverCynic
From what I understand though, you CAN run it up all the way one month so it shows a pretty accurate limit right? I don't need the best FICO score every month.
stefdr
My Cap one is about to be history. I've had the CC for over a year now, and I've had success with their customer service with a couple of things. I had three fraudulent charges back in Feb, and one call to them and they removed the charges, froze that card number and issued me another card. I questioned the annual fee last month, and they removed it as well. Not reporting the credit limit is an issue with me, as well as the fact that they have not raised my credit limit over the 500 I've had since I got it.I had a Cap one card back opened in Oct '01, and when I was injured on the job and was off work on workers comp for over a year, the CC's were the last bill I got to. The Cap one had a DOLA in 7/02, and closed in 1/03. I paid it off in full 9/04. I didn't know all the info on debt settlement back then, so I didn't know about PFD. The way its reporting looks wrong to me, I know I paid it off in full, but it shows as "settlement accepted". I've asked them for a goodwill removal, but to no avail. At this point I really don't need it unless they up the credit limit on my current account and start reporting.
Fizzle1979
I've had my capital one card since august 2005, never late once and i pay my balance in full before the 30 days...my limit is still at $
