Blake11
This debt originally began bout 4 years ago, had a bum roommate and had to put some stuff on a CC, $300 or so has now turned into $881, bounced through several agencies, and now yesterday I got the court papers for the $811. Should I try and get ahold of the agency? I certainly don't have the money for an attorney and that would probobly cost as much as the debt. direred
See if you can just settle it, then. Call the lawyer who filed the suit. It's considered bad form to call the client if they're represented by a lawyer.
justagirl003
Check the SOL for your state, if the SOL has passed for the debt, you maybe able to use that as your defensive if you have to go to court.... or see if you can settle the debt. Blake11
Wouldn't dragging out a trial make them more money? What should I offer?
