I have been trying to repair my credit for the last several months, been disputing and DV'ing.

Today I pulled my reports and a CA has listed 3 medical accounts on my credit reports. These had never appeared before today and the CA has not contacted me in any way. These debts are medical related from the birth of my youngest child (1998). At the latest they are from 2000. I have had no contact with the OC or any CA's regarding these bills & didn't even know they existed.

I am DV'ing the CA today.

Is that the right step? Do these CA's just come out of the woodwork?

Do you have the DOLA--has it been out of the SOL in your state? If it is beyond that and beyond the 7 years (when it should drop off of your report)--write them a DV (return receipt) + demand they remove it from your credit report--not admitting anything, just that you know nothing about this. Hope it helps...

Unfortunately they do. Yes you are taking the right step in DV'ing CA, I would let them know as well to immediately remove these TL's from your CR's within 5 days of receipt of your CMRRR letter. Check your reports, if they haven't deleted don't threaten with an ITS letter, go to the courthouse in your jurisdiction and sue their asses off of your reports along with the other numerous FDCPA and FCRA violations. What ever month in 1998 180 days after that the debt was charged off by OC, so in checking your states sol for medical debts they are definately SOL. Tell them to FOAD!!!!! Stay off the phone if they try contacting you.
