virtualrn
After disputing items on my Experian file, naturally they came back as verified within the 30 day window. Followed up with the typical who? verified letter. Today I received a form letter from Experian:Dear.....,We are responding to your request to verify item(s) on your personal credit report. We have already investigated this information and the credit grantor has verified its accuracy. Please refer to the personal credit report you received for the name, phone number, and address of the credit grantor who verified this information...yada,yada,yadaWhat the ??? What is the next step in the flowchart when this happens?
torikid
Hi. I am online with them right now. I am no pro at this, but this is what I am going to try...If you have your report number and it is recent... go to http:www.experian.com/viewreport. If you don't copy the one at the bottom I am putting in for you and put your information in there.Go to dispute it (don't waste time typing too much cause they will say you cannot because it has already been verified) and follow throught the links. There is a link (sending us your information) that takes you to a "special" page that saysAdditional relevant information is anything new that has happened between you and the creditor or courts that should result in a change to the information that appears on your credit report. It could be a letter from the creditor, a cancelled check or money order, billing statement, contact name of the credit grantor, letter from the IRS, proof from court or county reporter, proof of bankruptcy file dismissal or discharge, etc., that was not presented when you previously requested investigation.Sending us your informationPlease mail us this letter (or the information in it), along with a copy of the additional relevant information that supports your claim that information on your credit report that has previously been verified as accurate by the data furnisher is inaccurate. Be sure to indicate the specific account and account number that you are disputing and give the specific reason why you believe it is inaccurate. To protect your personal identification information, Experian does not return correspondence sent to us. Send copies of any documents you wish to provide to us and always retain your original documents.Mail this form, along with payment (if applicable) to:ExperianPO Box 9556Allen, TX 75013Your identification informationJohn Doe1234 Main StreetMinneapolis MN 55xxxSocial Security number: xxxxxxxxxxDate of birth: xx/xx/xxxxReport number: 2042xxxxxxxWrite any comments belowGood luck! LadynRed
Your next step, per FACTA, is to dispute directly with the FURNISHER of the information you are disputing.
