 I was in the process of getting approved for an Auto loan & my place of employment said they didnt know who I am.

Consequently Penfed closed my Visa Platinum CC account.

I"ve been dealing with a death in the family and was out of state.

I didint know the account was closed, I actually stopped thinking for awhile.

Anyhow the account says it says " Closed By Consumer" on my credit reports.

Thing is I didnt request they close the account.

It now has 3 recent late pays.

Do I pay the montly minimum as I figure a way to delete the account or what?

Spoke to account manager asked about PFD, was told the best they would do is list account as Current,0 balance & closed.

What do you guys think would be the Best ways to handle this account,

I'm trying to get a mortgage with an excellent rate.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

I'd had previously had a payment sent on the 30th day with HSBC through MoneyGram.

A customer service rep placed a note in the computer regarding the receipt number of the transaction to show the payment was recievrd that day.

I had a payment paid on the 30th day again through MoneyGram,

but the this time the the payment is being reported as being late.

Technically It was recieved on the 30th day,but of course the funds didnt post as cleared until the next day.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Have you tried calling them? Personally, if you're going to wait till the last minute, I would use the RUSH payment option. It gets posted the same day and it's cheaper than money gram (i think).
