If you make payments and never bring it current, you don't alter the DOFD. Once it is current again, you have just reset the reporting period.

Most states, making a payment restarts the SOL clock. I think it is TX that qualifies it with you have to bring the acct current to reset SOL. (Don't quote me on that! :oops: )

For the entire tradeline, not for the missed payments. The FCRA prohibits the reporting of ANY negative information that is over 7 years old.

(5) Any other adverse item of information, other than records of convictions of crimes which antedates the report by more than seven years
