CleverCynic
That's huge news, good job! I had a computer biz for about 6 years and never got any... always had to be the personal guarantor, which I never did, so my FEIN never got used. whocares
Quill reports to experian and duns, but they do not have any of my personal information. I only have them the duns number and no personal guarantee...I own a small computer repair shop, I also sell accessories and software as well as rent video games and consoles. I have a 120,000.00 inventory and a 5000 sq foot building. And this has wiped out our savings getting started in the last 2 years. Now that I'm setup I think things will straighten out... CleverCynic
I made a killing in the mid-90's renting to own computers with no credit check. Got my start with about 5 or so "donated" pc's from a corporate upgrade that were still very decent. Back then you could still build a PC for about $400 but no one was selling them for less than a grand. So, I'd put them out for $99 a month with first and last down. Was risking half the cost which I made back in 2 months, then basically a year of residual profit. After you get 100 or so out there it's gravy. Becomes a field-service, collections business after a while but it was easy and the default rate didn't matter so much because the profit was really nice, and most paid at least several months where you were in the clear anyway, or repo and reassign then you had a clear system that started contract over again... really no way to lose. Plus I wasn't an a$$ and made a lot of arrangements with people, so it was good all around. You might give it a try if you got stuff lying around.
