Hi Folks,

Ok--going back to the good ole credit repair roots, lol. I have a question though....I understand the "permissable purpose" thing--but what if a creditor pulls your credit and NEVER contacts you directly?

Penncro did a hard pull on my TU report on May. 17, 2007 and I have yet to hear directly from them by letter OR phone.

Hey I had Unifund pull a few weeks ago. They did soft pulls on TU and Exp.

I sent them a letter asking them for the purpose why they pulled my report since i have no business with them. Basically the letter said send me proof that you have a permissible purpose for looking at my credit. Otherwise see you in court. I am waitng for a response.

Do you owe them money? They may have simply wanted your latest address or approximate income to see if it's worth taking you to court.
