Jacque383
Hi All, Is there a way to remove a BK7 from November 1998 from a credit report? Thanks.
isislc
Haa haa, you have the same problem I do. You can always try to dispute it with the CRAs using that the information is not correct and it should be removed. They may or may not remove it. In my case, they didn't. LadynRed
Is EVERY detail of the bankruptcy being reported accurately ?? If not, dispute every deatil that isn't accurate. Since a BK case from 1998 was likely sent to the archives 5-6 years ago, chances are they have no way to verify and you may get lucky and get an early delete. Then check if you are still showing up in there. I have found so far that if you show up in Pacer, you'll most likely be verified if you dispute. I'm still there and can't get the damn thing delete. https://pacer.psc.uscourts.gov/psco/cgi-bin/psclogin.pl

Jacque383
The name I checked is in the Pacer system. Shows it's been archived, but still there. Filing Date 11/1998, Discharge Date, 3/1999. So will it come off the credit report in 2008 or 2009?
LadynRed
It's 10 years from the FILING date, so 2008. You can still try to dispute it, no harm in trying !
