I've been reading this forum for a couple of days now. I have also been reading a gazillion other web sites! At this point I am so confused I don't know which end is up. I have so many questions I don't even know where to strart. I'm going to keep reading and hopefully will find enough info that I don't have to ask too many questions.

I am happy to have found this site. It is very difficult for a person who always paid bills to find themselves in a situation such as mine :(

welcome to CIC! :p Don't worry about those gazillion other sites - they're crap anyhow. CIC is the place you want to get all your info - real advice and insights form real people who have actually been there.

Before you start posting - and it can't be emphasized enough - READ THE STICKIES!!!!! Tons of info on the stickies on each topic. Get to know the abbreviations we use here as well - it may seem like alphabet soup, but pretty soon you'll be able to send an ITS to an OC regarding pulling a CO'ed account back from a CA with the best of 'em!

And one more thing - we are here to help. We've already been there, and most of us are willing to help out others 8-)

And one last thing - there seems to be an institutional sense of sarcasm here, so don't be offended by anything anyone says here. Just don't mention going with a "debt fixer" - no one around here likes them.

Last thing, I PROMISE! The Search button is your friend!

Welcome, and yeah... ignore the sarcasm. We are all in or have recently been in your shoes. None of us are any better than anyone else here, though we occasionally think our sheet don't stink.

Sarcasm doen't bother me in the least xdancex

The more I read the more I think bankruptcy is my only option. However, I called 2 attorneys last week and can't even get a return phone call. They were both listed at naca.com

Here's something interesting. I went to annualcreiditreport.com and when I tried to get in one of them (TransUnion) I got an error message on the first try. The message was that there had been too many attempts to login. I had never registered or even tried to register prior to today.

Still reading..........

Same thing happened to my GF, she called them and ordered one from them via mail. Not sure why that happens.
