soulthoughts
...from my reading it seems that the CRAs look to verify certain information with whatever company you're trying to get verification from. Does anyone know exactly what points of information are used for verification. I would assume they include:name, address, and SSN or a mixture. What else is used for verification? How many points of information must match? The reason I ask is that I'm in the process of removing old addresses from my CRs and I had this idea for a repo that's still within SOL. It's only roughly a year old. The repo is tied to my current address. If I have my current address removed then I send verification the the CRAs will that help against verifiication? HOOT
I am by no means a credit expert, but in my experience as long as any info matches, name, ss#, etc. match it can be verified. I had an Alltel CA show up on my credit just by verifying name. Was not mine and was a pain to get off, kept popping up through all 3 CRAs. Luckily it worked out. Seattle
I have heard and haven't used this yet but there is a Method of Verification that you can ask for from the CRA's...I would do a search on the info Method of Verification from CRA and read some more first. Im not an expert on it but its comming close for me to call a CRA soon if I dont recive my DV's soon.
isislc
How many points of information must match?I don't remember where I saw it but they need 3 points to attach a debt to. They try name, address, SSN. If one of those are missing, then they would try name, address, phone number, etc.

isislc
There isn't any real magic combo, they just need 3 pieces of information about you to tie to an account.
