eyeball
What happens if a creditor shows up at the creditors meeting and objects to being discharged. By saying the charges are fraudulent because of the timing of the charges?Eye
willingtocope
Difficult to predict. Depends on who, when, what, how much...If its a CC, probably not likely...If its your plumber, maybe...
jetscarbie
When I filed 7 a long time ago (discharged in 91), at my hearing Sears showed up. They were my lowest dollar amount creditor (800). haha All that happened was my attorney showed them my papers of income. They left. That was it. LadynRed
The creditors would have to file an official motion objecting to the discharge of all or a portion of your debt to that creditor. Their objection wouldn't only be noted if they showed up at the 341. After they file an objection, there would be a hearing so that each side - them and you - can make your case and the judge decides.
