AISLE4
I took a break from the credit wars, but I'm back now. Had a nice time in the mountains and didn't spend a cent (kindly relatives rule!).This number is giving me some grief. Can't find any info. They call and leave an endless number of messages but give no info other than this number:800-444-0774
hiblues
CA may not leave their name on an answering machine/voice mailbecause others may here that message.Even if you call they may be elusive as to what the nature of their business is, again, because if a roommate heard the message and called to find out your 'business'.If you want to find out what this is about you are going to have to give your name and let them verify your address on file. All CA's have caller ID, so don't call from a different number than the one they already have.Good Luck
helpmeintx
I Googled 800-444-0774 and it came up with "phone directory portland"A good site for seeing who's calling is http://www.whocalled.us/
AISLE4
I know about whocalled. That was the first place I looked--no luck.I know the calls are credit related. I just want to know who it is. I can't call from my own phone. I don't have access to another phone. Can't call 800 numbers from pay phones. Once I know who it is I can add them to my fax list. They've been leaving messages for two months but no dunning letter has been sent.

txtrouble
I tried calling as well and got an "All Representives are busy at this time... Please leave your name, phone #, and reason for calling and somebody will call you back." I'll try calling during the day, they are probably closed now. But if you *67 they won't be able to see your # nor will they be able to *69 you. You should be fine.
bigjohnstud4200
I think they are required to have the "we are a collector" message on their answering machine.. but i'm not positive.
