PolarBearnCO
I finally could no longer wait. I had to have a PS3. I've been without games for too long. I went to Target, already having a Red Card with $500 CL. The cashier asked me if I wanted to apply and save 10%. I told him I already had a Red Card but thought what the heck, I'll try for a 2nd one if I can save $60 on my purchase today.Well, I was approved... again... this time... $1500 CL Target Visa. Sweet. So, anyone know what'll happen to my other Red Card? Will they automatically close it? Will they keep it, eventually converting that to a Visa also? It currently has a $0 balance. Moneedshelp
when you were asked about applying was it because you got the preapproval receipt everyone has been talking about? R did the cashier just suggest?
PolarBearnCO
I simply applied again because I wanted the 10% off, and the cashier asked me if I wanted to save 10%.I'm not sure if it's going to be converted. I just logged into the Target Red Card site and it shows the account as being unchanged. Red Card, CL $500.

CleverCynic
You get it for the blue-ray capability (2 birds with one stone) or do you think it's a better gaming experience than a Wii? I'm told for some reason people aren't able to be objective about this question, but heck I can always try.
Heath
I've played the Wii on a few occasions and have even purchased one (haven't set it up yet and I've had it for 2 months) but I still want a PS3 mainly for the blue ray capability... I'm sure I'll buy some games to go with it too... Just worried about playing them on my Plasma is all...

I'm told for some reason people aren't able to be objective about this question, but heck I can always try.I'm not a fanboy. I had an XBox 360 and sold it to a guy I work with about 4 months ago because I wasn't playing it. I think it had sat there for months without being turned on. The games I had were awesome... just did other things with my time. But lately, and it's probably because I've been off work for two weeks because I had to get the appendix removed, I've been missing the games. I'd have bought the 360 again, but I already have a stand-alone HD-DVD player. So, I bought the PS3 mostly for the Blu Ray playback. I wasn't considering it seriously until Googled and read a lot of professional reviews saying it was actually a pretty good Blu Ray player, as opposed to the 360 being a rather mediocre DVD and HD-DVD player. However, I have always been a fan of the Ratchet and Clank series and a new one is coming out later this year.I have seen the Wii a few times at EBGames, and I think the graphics look like $H!^. I enjoy a good Mario game, but I don't want my games looking like cartoons. Even if I did like the Wii, I can't find 'em anywhere except eBay. At least the Wii is already hackable. CleverCynic
Decent review, thanks... I'm not sure which way I'm going to go... all I know is I got the kids the gamecube a couple years ago and the controller inputs stopped working recently... I was going to wait to replace it with something else, likely a wii but not too sure. It would mostly be used by the kids (whether I want on it or not) and I know they tend to have the most kid-friendly selection... reverse-compatibility is always an issue too... my $30 and $40 games aren't worth cr@p on ebay! Heath
Nintendo has never been a graphics monster... They just make games that are fun to play and do focus more on the kids rather than the adults... I got the Wii mainly because they're damn near impossible to find and it would get me off my a$$ when I do play games...
Moneedshelp
I purchased a wii in feb i think, and haven't opened it yet. i think it was the hunt to find it that i enjoyed the most. my boys have gamecube and ps2. maybe i'll upgrade them to ps3 during the holiday time. is the wii good for a novice gamer? Have a friend in Canada with a Wii and he plays more GC games on it than anything else. Of course, there really aren't any Wii games out right now worth playing, IMO. There certainly are a lot of awesome GC games though. Star Fox Adventures was one of my favorite games on the GC.Problem is the Wii is WAY(!!!) outselling both the PS3 and 360 combined, and I still can't find them anywhere. You'll pay out the nose for one on eBay.
DMGacs
Nintendo WII should be the way to go as the technology is years ahead of Microsoft and Xbox. Nintendo WII broke the mold for game consoles with the interactive features in the WII. There is a reason why you do not see them at Toysrus and anywhere else except ebay. Its because when they come in they are sold as fast as they are received...................The demand right now still outweighs the supply. They kept it simple and inexpensive, the two best characteristics any product line could have.
