elyse449
Does anyone have any positive reports about Experian? I am having the most difficult time disputing information.Elyse
nylady
You're right. They are tough. They refuse to delete inquiries and collections like the other CRA's. Even their employees hate 'em.2 employees plead guilty..................See below.http://www.usdoj.gov/usao/txe/news_release/news/casey_shipchandler.pdfhttp://www.usdoj.gov/usao/txe/news_release/news/casey_shipchandler.pdf
rmuse00
You know Elyse, I have heard the same thing but my personal experience is completely opposite. Experian has always been my best report and actually are reporting an installment that is positive from 1988. I paid a membership with Bally's, when I was a young thing! Anyway, This TL could have been deleted along time ago but is still reporting as closed & paid. They were stubborn with the Capital One fight but then again so was TU. It continues to be my best report. I have problems with TU! What sort of stuff are you trying to dispute?
elyse449
That is so disconserting...because it seems like more and more creditors are going with pulling them, and they're complete hyney-holes!Well-I just placed a fraud alert on my Experian credit file. The thing is, I have bagillion hard pulls from mortgage companies and they WERE NOT authorized! For the longest time we were getting offers to refi, but I thought these were just offers and over all HARMLESS since I didn't contact ANY of them! So...here I go.Any thoughts on what sort of letter to construct? Should I also send a letter of dispute to the companies themselves?I am not disputing valid inquiries by the way....and I'll still be able to pull Truecredit, right??? Or will I have to wait out the 90 days until the FA falls off?Elyse

It's reporting as "paid/closed." Hmmm...Anyway, I want removed the unauthorized inquiries that are barraging my credit file w/ Experian, they truly weren't authorized and some of them are OBVIOUS duplicates. I do have three CA's still reporting, one of which is paid but there isn't anything I can do about those--they're valid reportings, I'll just have to wait out the 1-2 yrs I guess. Fizzle1979
EX is my best report also. They also reported a negative TL as positive after a dispute I made instead of deleting it all together.
jetscarbie
elyse...Ex is my worst report also. It been a hard road struggling with them. From what I understand about mortgage inquiries, after 30 days they are suppose to combine them and make them one inquiry. ???????? lori_nj
I have to agree of all the 3 reports, EX is the worst. I recently applied for three credit cards. Two were denied they pulled EX, one was approved for $1500 they pulled TU.
lori_nj
also i forgot old addresses deleted with no problem by EQ & TU. EX refuse to delete.
HOOT
I have never had luck with EX. EX verifies everything. With record speed I might add. Last time it was only like two day! Always seems a little fishy to me. I just gave up disputing anything with them. I might try again and do a MOV when they so quickly verify. whocares
Just sent a copy of my report and highlighted what I wanted gone....I was suprised today I got a letter from saying the deleted my oldest collection, not scheduled to drop off till sept 2009...I did highlight it and said nothing more but incorrect...Does not look like they bothered to delete the incorrect SS# ir spellings of my name...but I was happy for the delete
