Gandolf
-Firstly, they give me a 24,900 CR after less than 4 years of time with them and with credit in general (this was my first card when I was in college). Keep in mind that I have never cleared more than 30,000 income in any calendar year (although I am on pace to do way better than that this year as it's my first year away from school).-Secondly, they accidently report the opening date on my card to the CRAs as 1979 when it was actually 2003. My father has the same first and last name as me as well as his mailing address so this is probably how they made this mistake. I wasn't even born until the mid 1980's.-Finally, they just lowered my interest rate on my card (which unfortunately carries over 10k on it) by 3% from 15.25 to 12.25 just from me calling and asking if they could. The phone call took MAYBE 2 minutes and probably less than that. I could not be happier with their service. This is one of the rewards for paying your bills on time and having good credit. Sinuous
$10K debt on one card? That doesn't appear to me as being very responsible, regardless of your current utilization ratio. Sounds to me like you are living outside your means.

Sounds to me like you are living outside your means.Eh, I racked it up my last 2 years in college and now that my income has gone way up it's coming way down. It wasn't luxuries that caused the high balance, it was unexpected medical expenses that my health insurance didn't pay, I had several operations and had to be hospitalized at one point. So, I just made the payments on it and now that I'm doing better it will be down to zero by 2008.

Well, after taxes and modest living, you're probably left with $500/mo or less. so, it's going to take you 3 years to pay off this debt if you spend every penny working off this debt.Good luck.
