Carol - welcome to CIC, first off.

Before you do anything, read all the stickies - a wealth of info awaits your discovery there.

To answer your questions:

1. - Two different amounts, same account number - assume this is with two different CRAs? Like EX is saying one amount and EQ is saying another, for example? The FCRA requires furnishers of iniformation to be reporting ACCURATE information - if there is any discrepancy at all, this gives to give you reason to dispute: innaccurate. Different dates? same thing.

2. Same thing as above.

You can always dispute as "innaccurate" every innaccuracy they have. That could pry them loose.

BTW - is the SOl up on these debts? You might not want to wake a sleeping giant up...but the amounts are relatively low I might chance it.

I don't know SOL in Louisiana for medical I don't know what is considered as all new to me and very confusing to.

we've all been in situations that are like yours, carol. Don't worry. if it's medical there is a sticky at the top of this forum saying "medical collection? read this". Read it. It will have the best info possible until someone with better experience than i comes and reads your post.
