jaqfan
The sol is up on my old verizon accts and Midland is the CA for them. When the SOL expired is Midland required to come off my CR? or can they stay on it and just not be able to collect on it?
swirlgirl
It's not going to automatically fall off. Your best bet is to send a dispute to the CRAs asking them to delete because you do not owe Midland. Also, send a DV letter to Midland asking them to delete because of SOL.You probably won't hear back from Midland, but if they verify with the CRAs, it's a violation. CarolinaBlueEyes
you are confusing the SOL with a reporting SOL.. for example in my state the SOL is three years.. however anything reported is reported for 7.5 years (thats in all states).. so because the SOL is up for the debt.. they can still TRY to collect the SOL is only an affirmative defense if you do get sued and the reporting will stay on your report for 7.5 years. They are not going to delete it because the SOL is up.. thats not how it works
