Yes. They sued for $2700 and had the amount reduced to $1500.oo and now adding interest to the $1,500.oo .

You should disptue the amount and if it comes back verified, send a verification letter to the OC, if they continue to report inaccurately, build up a case against them to wash out the judgment they have against you. That's what I would do at least.

If OC wins judgment for $1,500.00 can they still report that I have a Balance of $2,778 and i am Past Due: $2,778

You need to actually look at the judgment. The judgment will have everything outlined on it as to what they are awarded. If they were only awarded 1500 total, usually court costs, filing costs etc are added, then that is all they can get. You can get a copy of the judgment from the Clerk of Courts office, at the bottom of the page it will list all the fees and costs total they are entitled to, interest CANNOT acrue on top of this amount. They can't try to charge more than what the judgment allows for. That's as far as your liability for the debt goes.
