I have 2 cc accounts that I would like to close due to there annual fees, however they are my longest accounts held and in good standings. They are 2 years old now. Do I risk my score dropping to avoid these annual fees?

limits

cc 1 $250

cc 2 $300

If you've been paying on-time and in you're good standing, it may be worth a phone call to see if you can negotiate the fee and possibly a higher limit.

"What's it worth to you?" was my first thought. Is the fee worth two years of history? Considering that to keep them until they're REALLY worth points on your score, say, 5-7 years, will cost you a couple of grand?

Do the math and decide if you'd save more by dropping them or paying what % in interest it might cost you if your score drops a bit.
