elyse449
I was going to post this under "credit reports" but it's more in tune w/ my overall repair process, so I decided to place this here.Today I got an updated CR from Equifax! They removed my other disputed inquiries bringing the inquiry number to a mere TWO! Edited; Collections are still "pending investigation" status. I guess I got too excited and forgot to check EVERY inch of my CR! LOL...oh well.I don't want to be greedy...but I'm wondering if I can dispute the remaining two inquiries? One is for Target (yes, I have a Target acct reporting) and one is for a real estate loan credit check. Thoughts?Elyse

Gandolf
Equifax deleted every single inquiry I had on the report, including inquireis that were done for accounts reporting on my equifax CR. Go for it. You got nothing to lose.
isislc
Yep, I had 9 inquiries and today I have only 2. Gonna dispute them babies off tonight.
Macwench
You can dispute anything... I left my active account inquiries alone though. I read on another board that some had the whole tradeline deleted so I didn't want to take a chance. I got bump on EQ from pulling my daily reports. About 5 total dropped off like that - it took a little longer than TU did, but it took care of what I had left.
aadam101
Even if the whole TL is deleted can't you just call the OC and ask them to report?
Macwench
I don't think I'd call the OC and say "Hey - I disputed your inquiry and it removed your listing - would you mind to put it back?" Not sure how it works if the TL is deleted... but if they update the TL monthly, then I would think it would reappear on the next update. If it's a closed TL you would probably be outa' luck. aatavia23
I disputed inquiries with TU and they sent a letter stating that inquiries remain for 2 years. These were not inquiries for credit that I applied for or for employment. I thought it was against the law for companies to do "hard" inquires w/o your permission? I'm going to call TU. They are probably not going to realize you disputed the inquiry and just report the account again. I would take my chances with it. I think it would work out in my favor.
