Gsgatormom
Hello everyone. In brief, after a settlement agreement is made and consumated, and the terms state that the OC is to delete the account completely from your bureau, and they don't, what would you do next? I disputed with the CRA's, and over and over again with the OC, but they refuse to delete. They are reporting the account with a zero balance and SOLD! So I finally broke down and filed a complaint with the BBB. Today I got a phone call from the OC regarding the complaint. Having reviewed the forums, I was hesitant about answering so I let the machine pick up the call. My question is, should I call them back? I have no means of recording the call and have already spent too much time arguing with them. What can be done as an alternative? And for what it's worth, the OC is Household Bank, HSBC. Any suggestions?
soulthoughts
Do you have the agreement in writing? Who's the agreement with?
jjpc
Do NOT call them - do it all through the BBB since that's where you started. They should be responding to them as well to show they are attempting to resolve. The BBB wants to be kept in the loop.Whatever you do, do it in writing, hopefully you have proof they agreed otherwise you have to keep disputing with copies of the proof that it was PAID, DONE!
