Does running your credit multiple times hurt you all the time?

I've heard that if your credit is run for multiple times for the same reason, it doesn't count against you. Say I was going to buy a house or refinance and I went to a couple different places. Would each place I ran my credit count as a inquiry that could affect me? When I purchased a house not to long ago, my credit was run at 4 separate times for the same place. Is this reflected as negative on my CR?

This one of the first things I'll be working on this morning.

I just had a Merged Credit Report done & I have 29 inquires in the past 60 days!!!

Under the FACTA for all 3 bureaus states, "Too many inquires have impacted this score." Thus, it does damage your score.

None to get to the bottom of it all & find out who I need to yell at!!!! :Director:
