JonGA31
I DV'd LVNV 2 months ago, and got no response. Then I sent a follow up saying that they were in violation, etc. which they received on August 3rd. Am I correct that they have until September 2nd to answer me by mail or they are in complete violation? What is my next move? Do I send a copy of all of it to the three credit bureaus first? Do I call any of them? When do I file a small claims suit against them?
JonGA31
From reading the revised sticky post about not sending the form letters to the CAs, I need a little help. Is it saying that once I send the second letter to the CA I should call the CRAs to request reinvestigation? LVNV didn't answer the DV I sent two and a half months ago, nor the follow up letter I sent 27 days ago. The CR says that it will drop off in November, but I need a mortgage in a month. What is my next move exactly and what is the fastest way I can get them off?
jetscarbie
When you sent LVNV the DV letter....did you also dispute with the CRA?If you did, try disputing with the CRA again. Ask them how they are able to obtain their verfication of this debt when you still haven't been able to. Try to get as much paperwork trail as you can. That always looks better. You might could try filing with the BBB and some of the others. Some people on here have had good sucess with doing that.If you are applying for a mortgage in the near future...the best advice I can give is "opt-out"http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/credit/prescreen.shtm
JonGA31
Can I call the CRAs or is this just something to do by mail?
jetscarbie
either way. I would keep a papertrail with anything to do with LVNV though.
clonts64
it was through my personal experience with LVNV that I sent the DV, got no response, along the same time, I did an online dispute through all three (I know that the board doesn't advocate the online dispute, but I tried it anyways) and it was actually Transunions online dispute that resulted in the deletion. I got my letter in the mail from TRansunion showing the deletion and then a few days later LVNV was off of TU, and EXper and showed a 0 balance on Equifax.
