akins503 Posted August 28, 2007 Report Share Posted August 28, 2007 I sent VW a goodwill letter offering to pay written off balance in order for delete. I have read all the posts on them and knew the chances were slim to none of them accepting. They wrote back and said upon paying the balance they would update the reports to show the written off balance as paid in full. The account is from '02 and due to fall off in '09. This really wouldn't help me if I paid them would it? They also said VW would not remove derogatory reporting as a courtesy. I knew they wouldn't but thought is was worth a try. All account balances match on all reports and I don't have any FCRA violations. Am I going to have to live w/them for another 1 1/2 yrs. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
