I was sent a letter stating that I was being sued. Now here are my questions.

1. The letter was sent by USPS, No certified mail or nothing. I thought someone had to deliver this letter by hand in order to make it legit?

2. The letter came from the CA not the court.

3. Plaintiff is Elite recovery services, CA for household bank. Has anybody had a chance to deal with them yet?

4. I dv'd household bank through the CRA's and they wiped out all my late payments which raised my FICO. My intentions were to have them go bye bye. Can I DV them again?

P.S. I would personally like to thank everybody in CREDIT INFO CENTER my credit is so much better thanks to you ALL..... THANKS THANKS THANKS THANKS

In order to be sued, you have to be served a summons that's issued by the court. Does the letter have a case number on it? If not, then I doubt you are really being sued. It's just an empty threat.

If you contacted the CRA on the debt, you actually did not DV. You actually did a dispute. You will need to DV the CA directly. How old is the debt?

That's not always true. Some states allow you to send a copy of the compliant first class mail. You need to look at the court dockets and see if you have any court dates. Did the complaint outline why you were being sued, usually in numbered paragraphs?
