JonGA31
The only negative item I still have on my credit report is LVNV Funding. I've already DV'd them, and they never answered. I then sent the follow up letter stating that they were in violation of the FDCPA 29 days ago. They still haven't responded. I need to get a mortgage in two weeks, and I need to do things as quickly as possible. Before I found this site, I had disputed online with the CRAs. On my CR, it states "Account information disputed by consumer". But when I just called them they said that there was no record of a dispute. So I told them I was disputing it now. Is it wise to do this by phone? I've read and read and read on this website, but there is so much information that sometimes says call and sometimes not. It gets confusing. I would very much appreciate some advice.

Nascar3
I wouldnt get your heart set on getting it removed within 2 weeks. These things take time. It's possible, but not likely. Have you filed a complaint with the BBB? You might try that and let them know that LVNV is still reporting and refuses to answer you DV request.Good luck!
