rmuse00
I started by reading posts looking at my credit report and then reading on how I could understand how the tradelines were being reported and why. Remember just because the Credit Reporting Agencies (CRA's) say it is so does not make it accurate. I would also take some time to read the FDCPA (Fair Debt Collections Practices Act) and FCRA. You can find the links up at the top of the forum. They will help you understand what legal guidelines the Collection agencies (CA's) have to follow when collecting debts and the FCRA (Fair Credit Reporting Act)will help you become familiar with guidelines governing how a Credit Reporting Agency report these tradelines. I spent quite a bit of time reading and highlighting sections in these 2 documents. You will be amazed what you learn!!
