Wille T
Afni sent me a settlement offer of $59.00 on a bill $119.00 OC cingular. If I write up an agreement for them to sign PFD, and they did not follow through and delete the account from my credit report, what is my recourse? Could I send a copy of the signed agreement and payment receipt to the CRA and would that be enough to get deletion? Advice appreciated.
divemedic
Did they actually sign it? Most CAs won't.If you do have a signed PFD, you need to send them a letter telling them that if they do not delete, you will sue.If they still won't delete, sue.Sending stuff like that to the CRA doesn't work, because as a general rule they don't accept paperwork from debtors. I've sent in plenty of paperwork or faxed it in and it was accepted. This has always been a slam dunk for having certain items deleted.
