All,

This forum is so great!!!

I have "over-fixed" my Equifax credit file to the point it is completely empty. What do I do now? How do I add positive trade lines to it? It won't even generate a credit score.

I am in the process of fixing my Transunion and Experian also but will be more carefull removing items.

Any help is greatly appreciately!

Have you been bumping inquiries? It sounds like your file is split.

Yes...I have deleted all the inquiries except 2. What is meant by split file?

With bumping comes a chance that you will get a "split file" with EQ. What that means is that, you now have two files and now trying to pull up your report will cause blank reports, missing data, no score, etc. Do a search for "split file" and you'll find the email address to someone that can help you at EQ.

Thank you. I hope that is not the case. There wasn't much in my file from jump. So I am hoping they just delete what I challenged. There were 3 collections thats all. But I will look for the email as you stated.

Is there any info on which creditors pull from with agency to consider a consumer for credit?

You must be a registered user, but there's no cost and, IMO, the best resource.
