isislc
Sorry if this topic is on the wrong board but I just had to share this with you guys. About 6 months ago I had received an opt out letter for a pending case against a collection agency. At the time I had no idea what it was talking about since I hadn't known anything about credit repair and our rights. Well today I got a letter that we won in a lawsuit vs Plaza Associates in Wisconsin claiming that they were licensed by the office of the administrator of the division of banking for the state of wisconsin. Well I got my letter today that there is a money settlement due to me for NOT opting out and I need to fill in my info to send it to them so I can get a check once the settlement amount has been decided. I guess what comes around goes around. CAs like to jam us, now it's time for a little payback!
willingtocope
Careful. I don't remember the details (and I'm at work now, so I shouldn't take the time to go look for it) but I recall a similiar letter going to someone else recently. Turns out it was really the CA looking for info...Check the lawyer and the court filings to make sure its real before you send anything....
