bbock
I am new to this forum and I hope someone here can help me out. I got a judgement against me a year ago. And today they put a hold on my checking account for $1300.00. I believe the account is within SOL, I am trying to figure out my next move. Do I contact the attorney and work out a payment plan? My total debt is $80K +, I have a judgement for $26K and $6,500 for the above judgement. Should I consider bk, does it wipe out judgements. Thanks! b. mj11
Someone has to have an answer for this guy. I have been in his spot, sitting, staring at my computer screen, hoping someone answers my question about the money that is about to be yanked from my account. Hang in there one of the elders will answer you sooner lor later.

isislc
If you have that much debt and you're making a modest income to qualify for a BK 7 then yes, you should file for BK. As for a BK wiping out judgments, yes it will take care of these judgments. The only thing that would not be wiped out are accounts like child support, federal loans, etc.
the aussie
With judgements against him of those amounts and having his bank accounts frozen....he should be talking with an attourney, not staring at a computor screen
razr
Well, it's a waaaaaay to late for payment arrangements. In fact, you're pretty much screwed. Call a BK attorney three months ago.Yes, a BK will discharge most debts, including most judgments. And yes, it will unfreeze your bank account.A BK is not the end of the world, it is far better than the crap you are putting up with now.-r
