luederman
It appears quite obvious that doing this can improve my credit, my question is this. If being on one of my fathers cards as authorized user can improve my credit, will it at the same time be detrimental to his? I hadn't even thought of that until he asked. Thanks. Thanks. The AU benefit will end for one CRA this month and the other two CRA's at the beginning of next year. You need to a "joint-user" now. But to answer you question. Your credit will not affect his.
bd50
as stated above, it will NOT affect his credit by adding you as an AU.on the other hand, if he is late with that particular account, it WILL reflect as 'late' on your side as well, thus harming your score.
