lolah
I sent quite a few DV letters and a couple CA's responded with letters saying they needed more information...blah blah blah.I sent them back a letter stating that since they placed the negative TL on my CR, they obviously have enough information they need to verify the account and that I have NO idea who they are or why they are listed on my report. Then asked for validation again. So, now what? If they can't validate - they HAVE to remove the TL, right?
jasen
They're supposed to. You responded in the right way. The request for more information is a stall / information gathering tactic. If you sent them the name and account number listed on the tradeline, they know what account you're talking about. If they can't find it with that information, then they shouldn't be able to verify it with the CRA's when you dispute. Probably just trying to delay dealing with you, or really have nothing to send you.
Moriah4
You need to send a copy of their letters to the CRA's and request delete if they can't verify account it must be deleted!Good LuckMoriah
