onlybrad
Can a collection company keep raising the amount of the debt with fees the longer they have a collection account?I thought they may can add a small fee at best but not monthly keep raising the amount of debt. They are telling my client that the debt will continue to climb until arrangements are made. This is bullcrap right? What laws cover this?

What laws cover this?State laws generally dictate the amount of interest. You may have also agreed to "reasonable" collection and legal fees. However, it's my experience that CAs just add whatever they feel they can get away with.-r
