Questions on federal court

Recommended Posts

How long do you have to answer a complaint in federal court? I looked in the federal rules and didn't see anything. It seems to imply 30 days but I want to know for sure. Its been more than 30 days since they were served, do/will I automaticly get default judgment or do I have to file a motion?

If I do the motion it says that it won't be accpeted unless certification of service is attached...is a waiver sent certified mail not possible?

I know it should say it on the summons, but the clerk left it blank when I filed and when I questioned her on it she said it constitued legal advice and she couldn't say anything.
